Rags to Stitches Boutique {2011}

Hi! My name is Alissa and I have a little shop called Rags to Stitches Boutique. I'm known as the Snuggie girl. What kind of Snuggies? iPad, e-Reader and Laptop Snuggies!

I'm married to the love of my life and we've been together for 7 years. In that time we've had our fair share of adventures and I'm so excited for the many more to come. My career began as an elementary and middle school teacher and shifted after the birth of our beautiful baby girl Katelyn in 2008. Katelyn is now three and is one of the most precious joys of our lives. Her smile and laughter can brighten anyone's day. In late 2009 we were blessed with another bundle of joy, who we lovingly refer to as Buddy. He is my sensitive, cuddle bug and already looks up to his sister. Being 17 months apart, I'm not going to lie, they keep me on my toes, but I'd rather dance around on my toes all day, then miss a single moment with them.

Rags to Stitches Boutique was born in 2009. I had begun sewing when I was pregnant with Katelyn. You know that constant urge to create, organize and nest.... well that's where it started for me. A self-taught sewer, not perfect, but learning, I began sewing things for my little girl and suddenly others began asking me if I would make those things for them.

From there Rags to Stitches Boutique has grown and expanded and now I consider myself a social media specialist and enjoy working with brands to create an atmosphere where moms can feel like they can use my blog as a resource or guide. I also love sharing sneak peaks into our busy lives.

I hope you'll browse around and while you're at it check out my store. A lot of my business comes from referrals and I do accept custom orders, so don't be shy, just ask.

Alissa

Joyful Joyful {2011}

Joyful Joyful is a custom boutique focusing on fun, celebratory items made out of paper. My name is Courtney Toney and I am a wife, mom to two sweet boys and a crafter who celebrates joy in the everyday. I love details, I love music and I love people.

The joyful joyful etsy shop started as an offshoot of Joyful Weddings and Events, the event planning firm I founded 7 years ago (www.joyfulweddingsandevents.com). I loved finding ways to incorporate creative and fun touches into my weddings and parties and decided I should start offering my little creations to others besides my wedding clients. I recently passed on the reins of the event company to one of my wonderful assistants and am now able to be a full time mama to my little guys while crafting a bit on the side.

My etsy shop sells custom wedding items such as ring bearer and flower girl flags, thank you banners, just married banners and mr & mrs signs, but we also sell a large variety of items for everyday such as happy birthday banners, gift tags, party hats and flags. Our holiday line this year will include advent calendar banners, Christmas banners and flags perfect for decorating your home or for holiday card photo shoots, paper placemats and a few other surprises.

Baby Boy Bakery {2011}

I am Jacqui, founder of 'Baby Boy Bakery'! I'm a proud momma to a beautiful baby boy named Ryan Cruz, crazy fun-loving girlfriend and striving baker and dessert display creator! My boyfriend Dan and I live together in Pasadena with our son Ryan and we are madly in love with each other, our son and our families. I have always loved being in the kitchen creating yummy food and desserts, though since having my son and staying home with him I have developed a serious passion for baking and displaying desserts for our families events. I am learning how to bake more and more delish desserts and displaying them in simple, sophisticated ways with a designer feel. I also consider myself an organic momma and baker as I use only organic and pure ingredients when possible in my kitchen. I hope to create pure designer decadence in every dessert and display!

Pad and Paper {2011}

It’s not really about us around here. Pad & Paper is all about you. Finding new and creative ways to spread news among special people in your life is what we’re really about. We do have a bit of a tale to share, a love story for sure. A little life, lot’s of luck and a bit of who we are.

“We” is Michelle, and I am excited to say hello to you! Life began in Newport Beach, California – my hometown. True to form, I was off to The University of Southern California, majored in Communication and minored in Business. My design journey took flight working in Marketing and Advertising at Irvine Company. From there, I furthered my education earning an associates degree in Interior Design. Prior to launching Pad & Paper, I was a full time Interior Designer specializing in design and merchandising for the new home industry. My big tease at the office was always graphic design. I’d watch graphic artists work and be amazed. Easier said than done, I decided to learn this super fabulous skill. For the love of paper I was hooked from the start! In 2006, I received a request from a friend for custom wedding invitations, and a little girls’ dream (that would be me) “to have a stationery store like Hallmark - but better” was on its way. Pad & Paper was born!

I love my dog, coke zero, pretty things, chocolate, tennis and my family. I’m kind of nutty about crafts. The Trojans are cool, too.

Art by Erin Leigh {2011}

My name is Erin Leigh and I'm a mixed media collage artist, which means I use paper, paint, pastels, markers, and anything I can find to create. I combine rich texture and color with quotes and scripture that encourage me daily. My hope it that my work will do the same for you and your family.
I believe that we are all born with a gift that is meant to be used and given away. It is pure joy to have discovered this gift and to trust that God will use it for his glory. In being able to create, and provide for my family, I am living a dream for which I am unspeakably grateful. I create all of my work in my little room at home, while chasing around my 3 year old and 3 month old, teaching first grade part time, and figuring out cheap and healthy meals to cook for my family, among other things.
I am truly thankful for each and every purchase and kind word of encouragement. I pray that these words will sink deep into your heart and be a source inspiration to you and your family. I love to create commissioned work, too, just ask.

The connection I get from kind souls keeps me going.

Box of Butterflies {2011}

My name is Kellie Stafford and my home-based business is Box of Butterflies.

I began my first business in the late 80’s designing custom bridal veils and accessories. I made everything from home selling direct to the bride and wholesale to shops. I enjoyed this for over 15 years. When my girls became toddlers I closed down my business to devote my time them and only designed for close friends and family.

Fast forward another 10 plus years, two teenage girls that drive and six years of home-schooling wrapped up I found myself not being needed as much and having more time on my hands. This is when I launched Box of Butterflies in the summer of 2010.

I liked the idea of making items from re-purposed fabrics, clothing and notions. Like the caterpillar that emerges into a beautiful butterfly I take items that are discarded and re-create into one of a kind beautiful items to once again enjoy.

I currently feature hostess aprons, hair accessories and bridal veils/accessories. I am always adding new items that I will feature on the following links.

I accept custom order and wholesale accounts.
